TJ NASS
TJ Nass is a proud Covina resident, graduate of Royal Oak Middle School and Charter Oak High School. He is a devoted husband and father of two who has spent more than two decades building a career in public service and business management focused on accountability, transparency, and results.
Professionally, TJ brings extensive experience in public transportation leadership, along with service on statewide and national transportation committees. His work has centered on responsible stewardship of public resources, long-term planning, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely. Those same principles guide his approach to local government.
TJ has deep roots in the Covina community. He has served on the Covina Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the city’s Finance Advisory Committee, and currently serves as a Planning Commissioner, helping shape decisions that affect neighborhoods, businesses, and the city’s future. Covina has given his family so much, and he is committed to giving back through steady leadership and thoughtful civic involvement.
Beyond City Hall, TJ is known for his work with local youth athletics. He has volunteered as an assistant varsity baseball coach at Charter Oak High School, coached Charter Oak Youth Baseball, and local travel teams. Mentoring young athletes has reinforced the values he lives by every day: teamwork, discipline, fairness, and perseverance.
As City Treasurer, TJ Nass will bring common sense, careful financial oversight, and a deep respect for the trust taxpayers place in their local government. He believes Covina deserves honest leadership, long-term planning, and a steady hand protecting the city’s fiscal future.
Covina is home, and TJ is ready to continue serving the community he loves.
